Marie-Michèle Paquette, doctoral student in clinical psychology (Ph. D. R/I) in our lab, and her colleagues have published a new paper in Archives of Sexual Behavior. The paper is entitled: “Can I Love My Body Even if It Doesn’t Look Like the Porn Stars?” and uses data from the PRESAJ Study. The results show that pornography use, in the short term, is negatively associated with adolescents’ body appreciation, although these associations might not hold in the long term.
