Project JOURNEY: An Online Couples Study About Experiences with Fertility Treatment

The Couples and Relationships Research Lab (Université de Montréal), the Couple & Sexual Health Laboratory (Dalhousie University) and the Laboratoire de recherche sur le couple et la sexualité (Université de Sherbrooke) are now recruiting couples to participate in a research study.

Our study aims to assess the factors that contribute to the psychological, relationship, and sexual adjustment of couples who are considering using assisted reproduction technology (ART) and to explore their decisions to continue or discontinue treatment.

Participating couples are invited to complete 5 questionnaires every 6 months over a period of 2 years. A financial Amazon compensation ($180/couple) is offered to thank participants for their time.

The research project has been approved by University of Montreal’s Research Ethics Board and by Dalhousie University Research Ethics Board. This study is financed through a grant awarded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, issued to our principal investigator Dr. Katherine Péloquin, PhD, at the Department of psychology (Université de Montréal).

Who can participate:

Couples aged 18 and over who are undergoing fertility treatments, and who both wish to complete online questionnaires every 6 months. *Other eligibility criteria may apply.
