Sophie Bergeron (she/her) is a Professor in the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the Université de Montréal. She holds the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Intimate Relationships and Sexual Well-Being. She directs the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Intimate Relationship Problems and Sexual Abuse (CRIPCAS), the SCOUP Team – Sexuality and Couples, and the Sexual Health Study Laboratory. Her work focuses on the psychosocial determinants of the sexual health of individuals and couples as well as the treatment of sexual dysfunctions. The results of her research have led to the development of evidence-based group and couple interventions. Her studies are funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Mylène Desrosiers (she/her) is the research coordinator for the Sexual Health Laboratory. She has been with the lab since 2003. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Université Laval and a Masters of Arts in Sexology from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

Éliane Dussault
Éliane (she) holds a doctorate, a master’s degree (research-intervention profile), and a bachelor’s degree in sexology from UQAM. Her research interests focus on mindfulness, compassion and the sexual and relational well-being of adults who have experienced childhood trauma, as well as on evaluative research. She is also a lecturer in the Department of Sexology at UQAM, a knowledge mobilization advisor for the Interdisciplinary Research Center on Conjugal Problems and Sexual Assault (CRIPCAS), SAS-Femmes, and a science communicator.

Jessica Herrera-Roberge
Jessica (she/her) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences (2018) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2023) from the Université de Montréal, in addition to a Master’s in Project Management from the Université du Québec à Montréal (2020). She began her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Université de Montréal in September 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Bergeron. She has a strong interest in sexual shame and sexual well-being, as well as sexual orientation and gender diversity. She has a strong interest in science communication and co-directed as well as co-coordinated a podcast in collaboration with CISM (the University of Montreal’s radio station). This initiative resulted in the production of 15 episodes focused on sexuality, approached from a feminist and inclusive perspective. Jessica is the recipient of a Canada Graduate Scholarship — Master’s program for 2024 — and a Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Société et Culture (FRQ-SC) scholarship recipient (2024-2026).

Jasmine Manan

Nevena (she/her) has been a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Université de Montréal since September 2024. Her research interests include sexual communication, relational and sexual well-being, and the treatment of sexual dysfunctions. Arianne Roy
Arianne (she/her) has been a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology (D.Psy) at the Université de Montréal since September 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Sophie Bergeron. Prior to her doctoral studies, Arianne completed a Bachelor's degree in psychology in 2020 at the same university. She began her involvement as a research assistant in Dr. Sophie Bergeron's Sexual Health Study Laboratory in the summer of 2021. Her research interests include sexual desire, intimacy and both sexual and relational satisfaction.

Eugénie (she/her) is a third-year undergraduate student in psychology at Université de Montréal. She has been a research assistant in the laboratory since Fall 2023. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Honors Literature and Creative Writing at Concordia University. She is interested in relationship and sexual satisfaction, as well as communication within couples, and her goal is to pursue graduate studies in psychology.

Jeanne Bernatchez
Jeanne (she/her) is a second year undergraduate student in psychology at the Université de Montréal. She has been a research assistant for the Sexual Health Laboratory since winter 2024. Her research interests include psychopathology, intimacy and couple communication. Her goal is to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology.

Méliane Deprez
Méliane (she/her) is a third-year undergraduate student in Psychology at the Université de Montréal. She will begin her Honours track under the supervision of Sophie Bergeron in Fall 2025. Her research interests focus on sociocultural influences on sexual health. She hopes to pursue graduate studies in Psychology, and she really likes hens.

Olivia Fêmi Codjia
Olivia Fêmi Codjia (she/her) is a third-year undergraduate student in Psychology at the Université de Montréal. She will pursue the Honours track under the supervision of Dr. Sophie Bergeron during the 2025–2026 academic year. Since the summer of 2025, she has been working as a research assistant at the Sexual Health Laboratory. Her research interests include sexual and relationship satisfaction, attachment, and childhood trauma. In addition to her academic and research involvement, Olivia works as a rehabilitation counselor with youth who have intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and severe behavioral challenges. These experiences have inspired her to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Research and Intervention).

Corinne Rainville-Valade
Corinne (she/her) is a first-year undergraduate student in psychology at the Université de Montréal since September 2024. She has been a research assistant at the Sexual Health Study Laboratory since summer 2024. Her areas of interest are sexual satisfaction in couples and individuals, types of attachment, and childhood trauma.

Marek Ramilison
Marek (he/him) is a second year student undergraduate student in psychology at the Université de Montréal. He has been a research assistant at the Sexual Health Laboratory since the summer of 2025. His interests lie in couples' dynamics, complex trauma as well as their intersection with gender and sexual identities. His goal is to pursue graduate studies combining research and intervention within clinical psychology.

Audrey-Ann (she/her) is a third-year undergraduate student in psychology at the Université de Montréal. Since the summer of 2023, she has been a research assistant at the Sexual Health Laboratory. She will be pursuing the Honors program under the supervision of Dr. Sophie Bergeron during the 2024-2025 academic year. Audrey (she/her) is a second-year undergraduate student in psychology at the University of Montreal. She has been a research assistant at the Sexual Health Laboratory since the summer of 2025. Emile (he/him) is a second year undergraduate student in psychology at the Université de Montréal. He has been a research assistant at the Sexual Health Laboratory since the winter of 2025.
