The laboratory is pleased to announce the publication of a new article on orgasm and sexual behavior in cisgender and sexual and gender diverse adolescents. The first author is Alice Girouard (PhD), formerly a doctoral student in our laboratory and now a postdoctoral fellow at Dalhousie University’s Couples and Sexual Health Lab.

Entitled “Orgasm and Sexual Behavior Among Adolescents: Differences Across Genders and Dyad Configurations”, this article explores disparities in orgasm and sexual behavior among cisgender and sexual and gender diverse adolescents.

The results reveal significant differences, particularly among cisgender girls in relationships with boys, who find themselves at a disadvantage when it comes to orgasms and oral sex.

These results show that traditional gender roles and sexual scripts persist, underlining the importance of comprehensive, positive sex education programs that are accessible and beneficial to all teenagers, without distinction.

Congratulations to everyone on the publication of this article!
