It is with immense pride that our lab celebrates Silke Jacmin-Park’s successful doctoral dissertation defense. Silke brilliantly defended her dissertation on Thursday, September 25, as part of her doctoral training in Psychology, Research and Intervention (Ph.D).
Her dissertation, entitled “Endocrine Stress Responses and Support Behaviors Among Cisgender Heterosexual Couples and Sexually and Gender-Diverse Couples,” marks the culmination of several years of an outstanding doctoral journey characterized by her rigor, dedication, and excellence.
Through her work, Silke has contributed to advancing our understanding of stress, health, and relationship dynamics among couples, while placing important emphasis on sexually and gender-diverse populations. Her research contributes to a better understanding of experiences and realities that have long been underrepresented in the scientific literature.
The entire team warmly congratulates Silke on her outstanding dissertation defense and, more broadly, on her remarkable journey within the lab, which she has pursued with tremendous dedication and passion.
