It is with great pride that we announce that Dr. Sophie Bergeron, our laboratory director, has been elected as a Member of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) within the Academy of Social Sciences!
This prestigious recognition highlights the significance of her contributions to advancing knowledge on sexual health and intimate relationships. Her research has notably helped deepen our understanding of sexual dysfunctions in women and shed light on the central role of relationship factors in couples’ sexual well-being.
The Royal Society of Canada brings together researchers whose achievements have made a remarkable impact in their respective fields. Sophie will be officially inducted as part of the 2026 cohort on November 13 in Ottawa, during the RSC Celebration of Excellence and Engagement.
🎉 The entire laboratory team warmly congratulates Sophie on this well-deserved recognition!
