Our laboratory director Dr Sophie Bergeron was in Singapore from June 19 to 22 for the 49th Annual Meeting of the International Urogynecological Association.
Dr. Bergeron was invited to take part in a workshop on the treatment of sexual dysfunction entitled “Let’s Talk about Sex: How to Manage Sexual Dysfunction in a Urogynecology Practice“. The workshop was offered on Wednesday, June 19, and was presented in collaboration with Dr. Mallika Anand, urogynecologist, and Dr. Uchenna Ossai, pelvic physiotherapist.
As part of this seminar, Dr. Bergeron gave two presentations entitled “How to Approach Sexuality with our Patients and When to Refer to a Sex Therapist” and “Psychosocial Treatments of Female Sexual Dysfunction and Vulvodynia“. She also gave an oral presentation entitled “When Sex Hurts – Psychology” on Thursday, June 20.
