Dr. Sophie Bergeron shares her expertise in Belgium and France

From December 6 to 13, Dr. Sophie Bergeron, Director of the Sexual Health Laboratory, gave a series of five conferences in Belgium and France, illustrating the international reach of her work.

She first led a specialized workshop on couple sex therapy for sexual dysfunction in women, at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, as part of the Certificate in Clinical Sexology program.

Still in Belgium, she was then invited to the Faculty of Psychology at the Université Catholique de Louvain to give a conference on sexual dysfunction in women from a relational perspective.

Dr. Bergeron then traveled to Paris, where she gave three conferences as part of the activities of the Association française de thérapie cognitive et comportementale: a talk on couple-based cognitive-behavioral therapy for women’s sexual dysfunctions, a presentation on its empirical foundations and intervention strategies, and a lecture on findings from the PRESAJ longitudinal study on adolescents’ romantic and sexual trajectories.

This conference tour underscores the scientific and clinical relevance of the research conducted within the laboratory, as well as the international collaborations it fosters.
