Our laboratory at the 2026 SSTAR Conference

From May 7th to 9th, 2026, members of our laboratory attended the annual conference of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR) in Vancouver, British Columbia. The theme of this year’s conference, “Sexuality in Connection: A Systemic Perspective”.

Several members of our laboratory shared their research at the conference. Our laboratory director, Dr. Sophie Bergeron, delivered an oral presentation entitled “Couples’ Childhood Maltreatment Profiles and Trajectories of Sexual Health Over One Year.”

Silke Jacmin-Park, doctoral student in clinical psychology (Ph.D. R/I), also presented an oral presentation entitled “Observed Positive Support and Cortisol Reactivity/Recovery among Diverse Couples.”

Nevena Popova, doctoral student in clinical psychology (Ph.D. R/I), presented a poster entitled “Dyadic Longitudinal Study of Child Sexual Abuse, Sexual Function, and Sexual Distress in Couples Coping with Sexual Interest/Arousal Disorder.”
